Privacy Policy
We collect only what PayKut needs to run your billing and business records. We never sell your data, and your shop's data stays yours.
Who we are
PayKut is operated by Dynamik Modus LLP, C-52, Sector-63, Noida 201301, India ("PayKut", "we", "us"). This policy covers this website, the PayKut Android app, the PayKut web billing app at billing.paykut.in, and the support we give you over WhatsApp, phone and email.
By using PayKut you agree to this policy and to our Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use our services.
What we collect
Account and business details
Your name, mobile number, email address, shop name and address, GST number, logo, and the plan you're on.
Business records you enter
Invoices, items and prices, stock levels, customer names and phone numbers, udhar and payment entries, loyalty and membership details, and staff logins with their permissions. You create this data, and we store it so the app can work and sync across your devices.
Device and usage information
Device model, operating system, app version, IP address, and crash or error logs. We use this to keep the app working and to fix problems.
When you contact us
Messages, phone numbers and any files you send us on WhatsApp, email or phone, so we can help you.
Visitors to this website
You can browse this website without an account. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts and Fontshare, so those providers receive your IP address and browser details when the page loads. This website does not use advertising cookies or ad trackers. If you tap a WhatsApp, call or email link, you leave this site and that app's own privacy policy applies.
How we use it
- To create your account, run billing, inventory, ledger and POS features, and sync your data across devices.
- To back up your data so you don't lose it if you change or lose your phone.
- To provide support, onboard you, and help you move from another billing app.
- To send service messages such as plan renewals, important updates and security notices.
- To fix bugs, prevent misuse and improve the product.
- To meet legal obligations, including tax and law-enforcement requests.
We use your data only for these purposes. We do not use the invoices or customer records you store in PayKut for advertising.
Your customers' data
When you add your own customers, suppliers or staff to PayKut, that information is about other people. You decide what to collect and why, so you are responsible for having a lawful reason to hold it and for using it fairly. We process it only on your behalf, to run the app for you.
Sharing an invoice or a payment reminder on WhatsApp is something you start. It leaves PayKut and goes through WhatsApp under its own terms.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only in these cases:
- Service providers who help us run PayKut, such as cloud hosting, backup and messaging. They may use your data only to provide that service to us.
- Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of PayKut, our users or others.
- A successor, if PayKut is merged with or acquired by another business. We'll tell you before your data becomes subject to a different policy.
- People you choose, such as staff you give logins to, or customers you send a bill to.
Storage and security
Your data is stored in the cloud with automatic backup. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect it, including access controls and limiting who on our team can see it. No system is completely secure, so please keep your login private and use staff permissions so people see only what they need.
Your data may be stored on servers outside your city or state. We take care that any provider we use protects it appropriately.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep your data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal data and business records within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep something, such as tax or transaction records. Backups are cleared on their normal cycle after that.
You can export your invoices and reports from the app before you leave. To start deletion, email us from your registered address or message us on WhatsApp.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian law, you can:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
- Ask us to correct or update inaccurate data.
- Ask us to erase your data.
- Withdraw your consent. This won't affect what we did before you withdrew it, and some features may stop working.
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or cannot act.
- Complain to us, and to the Data Protection Board of India if we don't resolve it.
Write to the contact below and we'll respond within 30 days.
App permissions
Depending on the features you use, the Android app may ask for permission to use the camera (to scan barcodes and QR codes), Bluetooth or nearby devices (to connect receipt printers), and storage or files (to save and share PDF invoices). The app asks only when you use a feature that needs it, and you can turn any permission off in your phone settings. Some features won't work without it.
Children and changes
Children
PayKut is made for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has given us their data, tell us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes we'll also tell you in the app or by message.
